Language of Change: Alviano Geometries, 2020
Running time: 6’ 32"
Language of Change: Alviano Geometries is an element of a multi-channel VR video installation. The work was situated in a photogrammetry model of the courtyard of the Castello di Alviano, a medieval structure I photographed while working in Italy in the spring of 2016. Both the video elements and music have their roots in an unfinished interactive live performance piece that composer Tom Baker and I began working on in 2019 entitled Language of Change.
Alviano Geometries was featured in a VR exhibit as part of Currents Virtual Festival 2020. The exhibition was designed by Reilly Donovan, and curated by Frank Ragano and Mariannah Amster, co-directors of Currents New Media in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
